- Fully Welded Body: Instead of the conventional bolts and nuts construction, completely welded gas ball valves have a robust material and an entirely welded body. - Outdoor Rating: The CAN 3.16 & BRS125G-rating permission is required in Canada & the US, respectively, for a gas ball valve to be installed outside. All manually operated and levered sealing valves with flanged or welded terminals that operate within -1048°F and 3272°F and 125 psi maximum pressure must meet these requirements as well.
In sewage treatment facilities, valves with CSA 3.16-15 ratings can be utilized for methane gas supply. Gas ball valves should not be used in pipe systems that contain even small amounts of hydrogen sulphide.
